Skin Boosters in Wooburn Green, near Flackwell Heath, Beaconsfield & High Wycombe

Restore your skin’s natural hydration from within

At Ashtree House Dental, we offer skin booster injections as part of our facial aesthetics treatments. Skin boosters are injectable hyaluronic acid treatments designed to deeply hydrate the skin, improve texture, and restore a more radiant, healthy appearance.

We welcome patients from Wooburn Green, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Flackwell Heath and surrounding areas who are looking for clinically delivered aesthetic treatments with natural-looking results.

All treatments are preceded by a thorough consultation and are only available to adults aged 18 and over.

What are skin boosters?

Skin boosters are injectable treatments containing stabilised hyaluronic acid — a substance that occurs naturally in the skin and is responsible for maintaining moisture levels, elasticity and suppleness. As we age, the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid content decreases, leading to dryness, dullness, fine lines and reduced firmness.

Unlike traditional dermal fillers, which add volume and structure to specific areas, skin boosters work differently — they are micro-injected throughout the skin in a series of small deposits to deeply hydrate the tissue from within. The result is an improvement in overall skin quality rather than a change in facial shape or structure.

Skin boosters are particularly well suited to patients who feel their skin looks tired, dehydrated or dull, or who want to improve skin texture and tone without seeking volumising effects.

Brands used in Ashtree House Dental include Profhilo® and Sunekos. Your practitioner will discuss product suitability with you during your consultation.

What concerns can skin boosters address?

Skin boosters can help improve:

  • Skin dehydration and dryness
  • Skin laxity and loss of elasticity
  • Dullness or uneven skin tone
  • Fine surface lines caused by dryness rather than muscle movement
  • Overall skin quality and radiance
  • Skin condition in the face, neck, décolletage and hands

Skin boosters are not a volumising treatment and are not designed to address deep folds, structural loss or significant skin laxity. Your practitioner will advise on the most appropriate treatment during your consultation.

Areas commonly treated

  • Face — cheeks, jawline, forehead, undereye area
  • Neck
  • Décolletage
  • Backs of hands

Your treatment plan will be tailored to your specific concerns and anatomy. Not all areas may be appropriate for all patients.

Your treatment journey at Ashtree House Dental

Consultation

A face-to-face consultation with our practitioner to assess your skin, discuss your goals, review your medical history, and confirm suitability. You are under no obligation to proceed, and a cooling-off period is always encouraged before treatment takes place.

Treatment planning

We will agree a personalised plan with you, explaining the product to be used, the number of sessions recommended, the expected outcome and any risks or side effects. Written consent is obtained before we proceed.

The treatment

Skin booster injections are administered using a very fine needle in a series of small deposits across the treatment area. A numbing cream may be applied beforehand to improve comfort. A treatment session typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes depending on the area being treated.

Course of treatment

Many patients benefit from an initial course of two to three sessions, spaced approximately four weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every six to twelve months. Your practitioner will advise the most appropriate schedule for your skin.

Aftercare and review

Written aftercare instructions are provided. Mild redness, swelling or small injection-site marks are common following treatment and typically resolve within a few days. We offer follow-up appointments to review your results.

What to expect after treatment

  • Mild redness, swelling or bruising at injection sites is common and usually resolves within a few days
  • Small temporary bumps or marks at injection sites may be visible initially
  • Skin hydration improvements typically become noticeable within a few weeks
  • Optimal results are generally seen after a course of two to three sessions
  • Results are temporary and vary between individuals; maintenance treatment is required to sustain the effect

Safety and risks

As with any injectable treatment, there are risks associated with skin boosters. These will be discussed with you in full at your consultation. Common side effects include temporary redness, bruising, swelling and tenderness at injection sites. Rare complications can occur and will be explained fully before you consent to treatment.

At Ashtree House Dental, patient safety and thorough clinical assessment are at the centre of everything we do. Treatments are only carried out by appropriately qualified practitioners following a full consultation.

If you experience any unusual or concerning symptoms following treatment, please contact our team promptly. We take all post-treatment concerns seriously.

Frequently asked questions

1. How is a skin booster different from a dermal filler?

Dermal fillers add volume and structure to specific areas of the face. Skin boosters distribute hyaluronic acid throughout the skin in small micro-droplets to improve hydration and texture across a wider area. They are complementary treatments with different purposes.

2. Does the treatment hurt?

Most patients find skin booster injections very well tolerated. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to reduce discomfort. As a dental practice, we are also able to use local anaesthetic where this would be beneficial.

3. How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your skin’s condition and your goals. An initial course is typically two to three sessions; your practitioner will advise following your consultation.

4. How long do results last?

Results typically last between six and twelve months. Individual results vary depending on lifestyle, skin condition, age and the product used.

5. Can skin boosters be combined with other treatments?

Yes, skin boosters are often used alongside other aesthetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections or dermal fillers. Your practitioner will advise whether a combination approach is appropriate for your concerns.
